This is an exciting opportunity to help students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills while fostering a lifelong appreciation for English in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The Role

Teaching English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons
Inspiring students to develop confidence in reading, writing, communication, and critical analysis
Supporting students to achieve their academic potential and prepare for GCSE examinations
Assessing, monitoring, and providing constructive feedback to support student progress
Participating in departmental planning, assessments, parents' evenings, and wider school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Has experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
Has a passion for English Language and Literature and inspiring young people
Is committed to creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
Available from September 2026
