About the role

Lytchett Minster School is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Student Support Centre. The role offers the opportunity to work with a friendly and supportive team in modern facilities, supporting teaching across all age groups and abilities.

• Provide classroom assistance to the English department and deliver small‑group support to students.
• Engage students and support their learning across all age groups and ability levels.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student achievement and contribute to a positive learning environment.

• Demonstrated passion for supporting teaching and a talent for engaging students.
• Relevant experience as a teaching assistant or related role (new to schools welcomed).
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

• Annual salary £17,385 – £17,661 (Grade 5, SCP 5‑6) with equal monthly instalments.
• Term‑time only: 30 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.
• Working hours 8:35 am – 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday, with a permanent contract beginning September 2026.
