Teaching Personnel is working with one of our welcoming primary schools in Poole to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil on a part-time basis from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and helping children overcome barriers to learning. You'll play an important role in supporting the child's academic progress, confidence and emotional wellbeing, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help them thrive throughout the school day.
The Role:- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs.
- Encourage independence while offering the right level of guidance and reassurance.
- Adapt activities to meet the child's individual needs.
- Promote a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and parents where appropriate.
- Is patient, caring and reliable.
- Has experience supporting children, ideally within a school or SEN setting.
- Can build strong, trusting relationships.
- Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
- Is available to work part-time during term time.
