Position: Engineering Technician /Stores
Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician /Stores to join our dedicated and supportive team on a full time basis working 37 hours per week.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of between £25,011 to £26,900 per annum, dependent on experience.

The Role
Join our Engineering team at Poole Campus and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality practical learning. Working alongside lecturers, you will help maintain well-equipped workshops, manage tools and materials, support stock control and procurement, and ensure equipment is safe, operational, and ready for teaching activities

Key Responsibilities
Clean and repair apparatus, equipment and workshops to the standard required by awarding bodies for the delivery of their courses.
Support the teaching team in demonstrating apparatus and equipment, assist in practical projects as directed.
Responsible for maintaining and controlling an adequate supply of materials, reclaiming reusable and disposing of scrap materials.
Workshop First Aid (training provided)
Assist the modernisation of H&S practices within the workshop environment
Ensure that apparatus and equipment are used in accordance with sound educational practice and current health and safety regulations

Job Description & Person Specification
About You
Proven experience in engineering or similar industry
Experienced in health and safety in relation to engineering industry equipment
Trained First Aider- or willing to undertake
Confidence using digital systems and Microsoft Office
Knowledge and awareness of safeguarding in an educational setting
