Civil Engineer

Position: Civil Engineer (Permanent)
Build Maintain Recruit are working on behalf of a specialist Civil Engineering Design Consultancy based in Poole, who are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team.

The Role
You’ll be involved in hands-on civil engineering design and project delivery, covering drainage, roads, car parks, flood risk, and general infrastructure projects. The role will include:

* Designing SUDS, drainage systems, and highways layouts

* Site visits, surveys, and construction support

* Hydraulic modelling and feasibility assessments

* Preparing cost estimates, proposals, and contract documentation

* Client liaison and project management responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

* HNC/BTEC or Degree in Civil Engineering

* 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering design

* Strong knowledge of drainage and road design for residential/commercial projects

* Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and MS Office

* UK driving licence

* Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Desirable Experience

* Use of design software such as Win Des, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, TEDDS, or S-Frame

* Knowledge of Section 38, 104, 106, 185 & 278 agreements

* Experience in Flood Risk Assessments and infrastructure design

* Working towards professional membership (Eng Tech, IEng or MICE)
