We’re recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Poole. Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on production and site equipment
  • Work on extruders, thermoformers, compressors, conveyors, pumps and HVAC systems
  • Assist with machinery installations and commissioning
  • Complete maintenance reports and documentation
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
  • Manage spare parts and inventory levels
  • Work closely with production teams and contractors
What we’re looking for

To be successful in this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role in Poole, you’ll need:

  • A recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, ONC or HNC)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of PPM systems
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Desirable skills include welding, fabrication and abrasive wheels training.

This role operates on a Panama shift pattern, covering days, nights and weekends, averaging 42 hours per week.
