Support Worker

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker.

Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.

Must be a Driver with a full licence due to service needs.

Here at Redwood House in Broadstone, Poole, we provide a supported living service for young adults aged 18 to 48 with learning disabilities, ASD, and other health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to support some amazing people!

As a Support Worker with Potens, you’ll do more than just work a shift — you’ll help create joy, independence, and new opportunities for the people we support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Promoting and supporting independent living skills.
  • Encouraging choice and involvement.
  • Facilitating access to community activities.
  • Every day is different — but the focus is always the same: building confidence, independence and real relationships.
  • Supporting with a small amount of personal care.
  • Shifts will take place between the hours of 8 am and 10 pm and will include a mixture of days and evenings. Shifts may at times, start at 7am.
  • Working every other weekend.

  • Reliable and committed.
  • Positive with an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Happy to take part in the chosen activities of the people we support – swimming, golf, attending music events and shopping etc.
  • Team player.
  • Experience preferred but not essential.
  • Must be a Driver with a full licence due to service needs.
