Job overviewWe are looking for a highly motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in our integrated paediatric Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team. This is a fixed term post of 9 months to cover maternity leave.

Main duties of the jobThe post is for clinical assessment and intervention for children with neuro developmental and motor skills difficulties. You will have the opportunity to work with children aged 0 – 19 years in a variety of settings, including; the Child Development Centre with some community visits to schools and nurseries. Travel will be required across UHD sites to deliver services.
It would be an advantage to have experience in sensory integration and neuro developmental therapy techniques and of working with children.
We work closely with the multi-disciplinary paediatric team and colleagues working in social care, health and education services. We are committed to delivering high quality services for the children and families we work with.
Applicants must have access to a car for business use.
Working for our organisationUHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
