Night Care Worker

We are looking for experienced, compassionate and reliable care workers to provide 2:1 overnight support to an individual with complex care needs.

Hours: 8:00pm - 8:00am

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full support with personal care, continence care and oral hygiene
• Administer medication via PEG in accordance with the care plan and MAR
• Support with PEG feeding, flushes and JEJ drainage, ensuring all tubing is secure and correctly positioned
• Provide support with oxygen, CPAP/ventilator equipment and suctioning, where trained and authorised
• Safely reposition and transfer using the appropriate hoist/sliding sheet, with two carers
• Monitor skin integrity and pressure areas, ensuring regular repositioning and appropriate pressure care

• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment, ensuring bed rails and essential equipment are correctly positioned
• Provide reassurance and emotional support, particularly during periods of anxiety or disturbed sleep
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the wider care team and family

The role requires strong complex-care experience, confidence with PEG feeding and respiratory support, safe moving and handling skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a 2:1 team. Consistency, patience and a calm approach are essential.
