Kingston Barnes is recruiting for a Buyer for one of our manufacturing clients in the Poole area.

The RoleWe are looking for a commercially minded Buyer to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Strategic Purchasing Manager, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services to support our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Source materials, components, and services to meet business needs.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate prices, lead times, and supplier agreements.
- Raise and manage purchase orders using the ERP system.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure materials are available to support production.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supplier performance.
- Resolve supply, quality, and invoice issues.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams.
- Keep purchasing records accurate and up to date.
- Support continuous improvement within the Procurement team.
- Purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and budget control.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- CIPS level 4 or working toward (Desirable)
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- £40,000 - £45,000
- Monday to Friday, very flexible working hours
