Unique Fire and Security designs, installs and maintains fire and security systems for residential and commercial clients across the South West. We're looking for a Stores & Stock Controller to run our stores and make sure our engineers have the right parts, in the right place, at the right time.

It's a hands-on role with real ownership. If the stores run well, the whole operation runs well.

What you'll be doing
  • Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and levels on our CRM/stock system.
  • Issuing parts to engineers and tracking usage against jobs.
  • Keeping the stores clean, safe and orderly.
  • Running regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Flagging low stock and reordering where necessary.
  • Processing returns and chasing suppliers on faulty or incorrect deliveries.
  • Kitting and replenishing engineer vans, and keeping van stock accurate.
  • Working in line with current health & safety legislation and site standards.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in stores, stock control or warehousing.
  • Organised, with genuine attention to detail.
  • Confident using IT systems for stock tracking and record-keeping.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise your own day.
  • Flexible, with good people skills as you'll be dealing with engineers daily.
  • Full UK driving licence, as you'll be moving stock between our stores and engineer vans.
Hours and pay
  • Part-time, fixed-term for 3 months, with a genuine route to a permanent full-time role for the right person.
  • 3 days per week, [days TBC], 8.5 hours per day including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. 24 paid hours per week.
  • £18,000
    -19,000 per year (£15.22 per hour), equivalent to circa £29,700 full-time on our 37.5-hour week.
  • 17 days holiday plus bank holidays, pro-rata.
