A well‑established and growing operational business is looking to appoint a hands‑on Branch Manager to take full ownership of a busy, customer‑facing site. This is a high‑impact role where you will lead from the front, driving revenue, operational performance, and customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced environment. You will act as the central leader within the branch, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations while building a high‑performing, customer‑focused team.
This is not a purely strategic role; it requires a visible, hands‑on approach, managing both people and operational detail at pace.
- Driving year‑on‑year growth across revenue, profitability, and operational performance
- Taking full ownership of branch operations, ensuring resources are effectively managed to meet demand
- Leading, coaching and developing a team to be highly engaged, capable and motivated
- Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a consistently positive customer experience
- Building long‑term customer relationships and identifying opportunities to generate new business leads
- Ensuring efficient daily operations including scheduling, stock/fleet control, and workflow management
- Maintaining high standards of branch presentation, compliance, and health & safety
- Managing reporting and communication with wider support functions across the business
- Creating a positive working environment that promotes collaboration and performance across teams
- Proven experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing leadership role (retail, food retail, hospitality or similar environments preferred)
- Track record of managing and developing teams to deliver strong commercial results
- Strong operational management experience with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑moving, sometimes ambiguous environment
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
- Highly hands‑on and visible, leading from the front
- Commercially driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Customer‑focused, always striving to exceed expectations
- A natural people leader who can inspire, coach, and develop others
- Positive, resilient and able to maintain a strong “can‑do” culture within the team
- Comfortable working at pace in a dynamic, operational environment
