Purchasing Manager

Location: Poole

Salary: £45k-£60k DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri office based

Benefits: 25 days hols, Pension, free parking

Aspire Jobs are working with an established business in the Poole area who are now looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team.

The Purchasing Manager role will see you working as part of the buying team and ideally you will have experience of purchasing large quantities within a manufacturing, industrial or high-volume company.

You will be part of the Management team and will be expected to report and participate in regular management meetings as well as managing a small team.

As the successful Purchasing Manager you will:

• Have previous buying or purchasing experience within manufacturing or high volume distribution
• Have staff management experience
• Be proactive and hands on in your approach
• Be used to working to time critical deadlines
• Be computer literate with the ability to forecast and material plan
• Experience of ERP/MRP systems
• Have strong attention to detail
• Possess Advanced Excel and database skills

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager:

• Report on planning, estimating, expediting and forecasting
• Be able to look and spot trends within the business
• Source new suppliers
• Negotiate prices and delivery schedules
• Work closely with internal colleagues to ensure on time delivery of products
• Understand each supplier s capability and capacities
