Overview

Industrial Automation, Process Automation, Climate Control, Life Science and Fluid Control, and Transport.
Double‑days shift pattern:
Early shift Mon‑Thurs 6:00‑14:15 and Friday 6:00‑12:00;
Late shift Mon‑Thurs 14:15‑22:15 and Friday 12:00‑19:30. Two weeks early, two weeks late.
- Fault‑find within the machine shop environment and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on machines and equipment in line with the CMMS schedule.
- Perform complete site maintenance, maintaining a high standard of site facilities and overall environment.
- Conduct best‑practice reviews and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement of plant and equipment reliability.
- Work safely and tidy in line with company policy.
- Undertake other duties reasonably required by the role.
- Formal apprenticeship in a relevant trade endorsed by EITB, EMTA or AMA documentation (or equivalent demonstrable experience).
- Fully skilled maintenance technician with mechanical, electrical or electromechanical bias.
- Practical experience in fault‑finding within a machine shop and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Demonstrable understanding of safe working practices.
- Positive, pro‑active attitude, able to work calmly under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to deadlines and determination to see work through to completion.
- High attention to detail.
- Desire to progress, succeed and work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Proficient PC literacy.
- Ability to fault‑find from electrical/mechanical drawings or PLC systems related to hydraulic or pneumatic circuits.
- Basic electrical skills.
- Knowledge of modern maintenance philosophy (TPM/PPM/RCM).
- Academic qualifications such as BTEC National (ONC/OND), BTEC Higher National (HNC/HND) or equivalent.
