Trainee Production Supervisor

We are on the lookout for a Trainee Production Supervisor on an initial fixed-term contract until August 2026 to join our friendly, dynamic team  part of the ABF group, we have ambitious plans for growth over the next 5 years and we need someone with the drive and passion to help us get there.

• Support line leaders to deliver on production targets, waste, giveaway and MUV.
• Coordinate teams to ensure that lines are manned effectively.
• Work with the Training Co-ordinator to develop a strong team in terms of skills and experience through regular 1:1s and robust succession planning.
• Identify and escalate absences and conduct return to work meetings on day 1 of an employee’s return to work.
• Monitor and record line performance on an hourly, daily and weekly basis to identify areas for improvement and implement improvements.
• Promote a culture of positive safety behaviours within the team, demonstrate strong safety leadership and address unsafe behaviours and working practices to coach the right behaviours.

• Strong team player with good planning and prioritising skills and the ability to make sound decisions on safety, food safety and quality issues and understand when escalation is necessary.
• You may also have experience in managing or supervising a team in a production environment.
