Full Time
A well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Poole is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join its skilled workshop team. This is a hands-on role offering long-term stability, varied work, and opportunities to develop within a successful engineering business.
The Role
You will be responsible for manufacturing and maintaining precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and bespoke components to exacting quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Manufacturing jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
- Operating XYZ machines.
- Carrying out manual milling and turning operations.
- Self-inspection of components throughout production.
- Deburring, finishing, and polishing components.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safety.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in manual machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and self-motivated approach.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
