Trainee Production Mould Machine Technician

Starting from £12.71 per hour (with opportunities for progression as your skills develop)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm;
Friday 8:00am - 1:30pm.

We are looking for a hands-on, practical and technically minded individual to join our production team as a Trainee Production Mould Machine Technician. Full training will be provided to help you develop specialist engineering and manufacturing skills within a specialist cable manufacturing company.

• Learn to set up moulding machines ready for production
• Program machinery for different products
• Service and maintain production equipment
• Diagnose and repair machine faults
• Set up and calibrate tooling and applicators
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Record maintenance work and machine repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Support continuous improvements in safety, quality and production efficiency
• Assist with product assembly when required
• Develop skills to train production operators on routine machine servicing

• Technically minded and enjoys learning how machinery works
• Practical and hands-on
• Good problem solver with a logical approach
• Organised and reliable
• Eager to learn and develop new skills
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Committed to working safely at all times
• Looking for a long-term career rather than just another job

• Engineering, mechanical or manufacturing qualification
• Previous manufacturing or production experience
• Experience using hand tools
• Ability to read technical drawings

• Starting salary of £12.71 per hour
