Production Supervisor

We're recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on shop-floor leadership role where you'll take responsibility for keeping production running safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll lead and develop a skilled manufacturing team, manage day-to-day priorities and play a key part in driving improvements across quality, productivity and delivery performance.
The Role- Lead and coordinate day-to-day shop-floor production.
- Allocate labour and resources to meet changing production demands.
- Monitor quality, productivity and delivery performance.
- Manage absence, holidays, performance and general team development.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and shop-floor discipline.
- Troubleshoot production issues and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Develop skills within the team through training and multi-skilling.
- Strong background within metal fabrication/manufacturing, including welding and/or metal forming.
- Previous production supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong people-management and communication skills.
- Good understanding of Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD).
- Continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing mindset.
- Comfortable using ERP/MRP systems and standard IT packages.
- IOSH or similar Health & Safety training would be advantageous.
This would suit a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor or experienced Team Leader looking for a hands-on role with plenty of responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact.
