The Role

First Base Employment is currently recruiting for a CNC Mill/Turn Setter / Operator to join a precision engineering environment based in Poole, working on a night shift.

This opportunity would suit an experienced CNC Setter / Operator with a background in mill/turn machining and FANUC-controlled machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC equipment, producing precision components and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production.

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Mill/Turn Setter / Operator:

* Setting and operating CNC mill/turn lathe machines.

* Working with FANUC control systems to manufacture precision components.

* Producing components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

* Carrying out in-process inspections and checking own work against SPC requirements.

* Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

* Ensuring machinery and working areas are maintained in line with 5S/5C principles.

* Working independently to meet production requirements throughout the night shift.

Key Skills of a CNC Mill/Turn Setter / Operator:

* Previous experience setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machinery.

* Confident using FANUC controls.

* Experience with in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing.

* Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship.

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.

* Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feed systems would be advantageous.
