Aerospace Paint Sprayer

Bowmill Metal Treatments are currently seeking a Skilled Aerospace Paint Sprayer
. The ideal candidate will have a professional manner and excellent timekeeping, be self-motivated with a willingness to learn and desire to succeed. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, mixing of paints, priming, topcoat and capable of carrying out processing to ensure compliance to customer, specification and drawing requirements.

Requirements needed for an Experienced Aerospace Paint Sprayer Operative Role:

• Previous experience as an Aerospace Paint Sprayer, ideally working with multiple paint schemes.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation and painting processes
• Confidence operating spray equipment and monitoring process controls
• Experience checking paint thickness, lot acceptance and identifying defects
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards within a plating environment

As an Aerospace Paint Sprayer, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing metal components for painting, including cleaning, degreasing, and priming
• Mixing paint products in accordance with specification and Quality requirements including viscosity checks where required.
• Ensuring correct dwell times between coats and curing are observed
• Operating paint booths and associated drying ovens
• Monitoring humidity and temperatures throughout the paint and drying cycle
• Checking paint thickness and quality to meet required standards
• Inspecting finished parts with visual inspection
• Cleaning and maintaining paint equipment and spray booths to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Maintaining accurate process records and documentation
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with regulations
