Are you an experienced Quality Inspector or CMM Programmer looking for a technically challenging role within a precision engineering and defence environment?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturer where you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy and performance of high-value components supplied to demanding customers.
Working alongside experienced Engineering, Production and Quality teams, you will be responsible for advanced inspection activities, CMM programming, dimensional measurement and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

The Role
As a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for:
✅ Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision components and assemblies.
✅ Programming and operating CMM equipment, laser trackers and advanced measurement systems.
✅ Inspecting components using engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.
✅ Creating and maintaining inspection programmes and measurement processes.
✅ Analysing inspection results and producing detailed quality reports.
✅ Supporting investigations into non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
✅ Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
✅ Supporting Material Review Board (MRB) activities and quality improvement initiatives.
✅ Ensuring inspection processes, equipment and documentation meet required standards.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
✔ Previous experience in a quality inspection role within engineering or manufacturing.
✔ Strong CMM programming and inspection experience.
✔ Experience using laser tracker systems and inspection software.
✔ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T requirements.

✔ Experience with precision measurement equipment and metrology techniques.
✔ Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
✔ Understanding of FAIR requirements to AS9102 standards.
✔ Experience supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
✔ A strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes including milling and turning.
