We are working with a well-established global engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit an EHS Specialist
. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental professional to take ownership of site-wide EHS activities, ensuring legal compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a positive safety culture across a busy manufacturing facility. Working closely with operational teams and senior management, you will play a key role in protecting employees, maintaining regulatory standards, and supporting business performance.

Job Description
  • Lead and promote a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture through coaching, engagement, and visible support across the site.
  • Manage EHS systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK legislation and recognized industry standards.
  • Carry out audits, workplace inspections and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and introducing effective preventative measures.
  • Deliver Health & Safety training, monitor performance metrics, and maintain documentation to support internal, external and regulatory audits.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, with higher-level Health & Safety qualifications advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience carrying out audits, incident investigations, contractor management and risk assessments within a production environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
