Cluster Sales Manager, Hotel Du Vin Poole and Hotel du Vin Winchester (Part‑time – 4 days / 32 hours a week)

Salary £25,000. Georgian elegance on the South Coast. This role is located across Poole and Winchester.

About the Hotels

Hotel du Vin Poole – a former Mansion House, this elegant Georgian hotel in Poole’s Old Town features 38 beautifully styled bedrooms and suites, boasts an enviable location near the quay and offers stunning views of Poole Harbour and the rolling Purbeck Hills. The hotel has a lovely sun terrace for summer dining and events, and our welcoming Bistro du Vin serves classical French dishes with a modern twist all year round.

Hotel du Vin Winchester – a quintessential boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the city, the very first in the Hotel du Vin family. The charming Georgian building houses 24 bedrooms and suites and is just moments away from the awe‑inspiring Winchester Cathedral. Like the Poole hotel, the popular Bistro du Vin continues to delight guests with classic French dishes and a long‑standing reputation for excellent service, and also hides a surprisingly large ‘secret’ terrace perfect for wedding parties and celebrations.

The Role

We are strengthening our sales team on the South Coast and are looking to recruit a sales superstar to support the hotels’ sales strategy in the design, delivery and monitoring of all aspects of day‑to‑day sales activities.

The role is fully proactive across both hotels, working closely with the M&E teams, driving Food & Beverage sales, increasing Wedding revenue, networking in the community, managing a small portfolio of corporate accounts and engaging in local outreach – business and social. You will also support National Accounts to win 24hr business and promote our new Corporate Retreat packages. You’ll champion Social Media, engaging the local community to raise awareness and increase engagement.

Working with the central marketing team you will generate new ideas to drive business into all hotel areas, aligned with local event calendars and collaborations. You’ll generate enquiries and maximise conversion, showcasing our fabulous hotel and services at every opportunity, with a focus on delivering top‑notch service to guests.

This is advertised as a part‑time role, predominantly Monday to Friday, with weekends and evenings as required for special events. Candidates must divide their time between Poole and Winchester with 2 days a week on site at each hotel. This is not a remote role.

Ideal Qualifications
  • Proven sales experience in a successful sales role, preferably within hospitality or food and beverage.
  • Sales expertise: ability to drive sales and meet or exceed revenue targets through pro‑active sales strategies and strong negotiation skills.
  • Industry knowledge of hospitality, bar and restaurant operations, culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Relationship building: excellent networking and relationship‑building skills with clients, industry professionals and potential business sources.
  • Communication skills: exceptional verbal and written communication, persuasive sales presentations and effective articulation of unique selling points.
  • Self‑motivated: high level of motivation, enthusiasm and a pro‑active approach to generating new business.
  • Team player: ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Results‑oriented: strong analytical skills, a results‑driven mindset, ability to track sales performance, identify areas for improvement and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Flexibility: willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client meetings, networking events and promotional activities.
