Assistant Fitter

Based in Poole, Dorset, Mayfield are part of the Epwin Group and have been fitting Sundecks to Holiday and Residential Parks across the UK for over 36 years. With a solid order book and pipeline into 2026, we are recruiting for a Fitter’s Mate to join our Installation Teams working mainly on the South Coast of England within a 2-hour radius.

As a Fitter’s Mate you will be working with a Lead Fitter with the Installation of the deck. You must be reliable, punctual and willing to work in all weather conditions. Previous Decking experience preferred but not essential, but carpentry / joinery skills would be a distinct advantage. Ideally with Full Driving Licence. Workwear and PPE will be supplied free of charge.

Installers Mates will be fully trained and encouraged to become future Lead Fitters. We will arrange and pay for DBS checks.

• Zero accidents - ensure all health and safety aspects of the job are adhered to.
• Help the Lead Fitter with the timely Installation of decks and accessories on Holiday and Residential Parks in accordance with company specification and standards.
• Ensure materials to be installed have been checked when loading
• Help Lead Fitter with cleaning of installed products and warranty label added.
• Help the Lead Fitter clean-up after the installation ensuring the area is left tidy
• Ensure excess products are returned in the condition they left the factory
• Suitable attire to be worn at all times
• Obey Park Rules and etiquette – no loud radios or bad language
• Ensure vans are kept clean and tidy
