About the Role
We are recruiting for a Residential Intervention Worker to join a dedicated team in Poole, supporting individuals with complex needs as they work towards greater independence and successful reintegration into the community.
This is a rewarding role where you will help manage risk, support behaviour change, promote positive choices and contribute to safer communities.
You will work closely with clients, probation teams, police, service providers and other agencies to provide structured support and interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Complete client inductions, pre-placement meetings and prison or alternative-location visits.
Act as a keyworker and deliver or co-lead one-to-one interventions, groups and meaningful activities.
Support clients to develop independence, manage their behaviour and successfully reintegrate into the community.
Contribute to risk assessments and risk management plans, monitoring changes in risk and compliance.
Share relevant information through agreed procedures and contribute to MAPPA meetings.
Maintain accurate electronic records, case notes and risk management documentation.
Liaise effectively with probation, police, community services and other agencies.
Promote and enforce service rules, licence conditions and appropriate standards of behaviour.
Use positive role modelling and constructive challenge to encourage behaviour change.
Support clients with physical and mental wellbeing, including safeguarding responsibilities.
Undertake mandatory alcohol and drug testing and prescribed medication procedures, including Naloxone.
Carry out room searches and support self-harm/suicide monitoring where required.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.

About You
We are looking for someone who is resilient, compassionate and confident working with people who may have complex needs and challenging behaviours.
You will ideally have:

QCF Level 3 in Community Justice or an equivalent qualification, or be willing to work towards this.

Experience of planning, delivering, monitoring and evaluating activities or programmes, including meaningful activities within a criminal justice setting.
Experience working with challenging behaviour and an understanding of therapeutic or enabling environments, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
Strong communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
The ability to maintain clear and accurate electronic records.
Confidence setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
The ability to motivate individuals and encourage positive behaviour change.
The ability to work independently, manage deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
The ability to deal with sensitive situations with empathy, tact and discretion.
Willingness to act as an Emergency First Aid Responder.
A willingness to support the organisation's Christian ethos.

Additional Requirements

A satisfactory Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred List check is required.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
The role involves working a shift pattern including weekends, so flexibility is essential.
