Salary: £55-70,000 per annum DOE (see below) + Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity:

Would you love to take complex business ideas and turn them into innovative web application solutions, whilst exploring how AI can enhance the way software is designed, developed and delivered?

This is an opportunity to join an established telecom technology business where you'll sit at the centre of web application delivery, helping to transform ideas, requirements and business objectives into successful projects delivered by a talented development team.

This role combines technical understanding, project leadership and people management. It's ideal for someone who has come from a web development background and enjoys bringing structure to complexity, solving problems and helping teams deliver their best work.

As the business is also actively exploring ways to improve efficiency, automation and AI‑assisted development practices, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how emerging technologies are adopted across the development function, identifying practical ways AI can support developers, streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

If you've found yourself becoming the person who bridges the gap between business conversations and technical delivery, this could be exactly the challenge you've been looking for!

Why This Role Stands Out:
  • The salary range for this position is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum.
  • This is a broad range because the company is open to considering either an experienced Development Manager, Team Lead, or a Senior Developer looking to take their first step into team leadership, with support and mentorship from the Technical Director.
  • For the right person, there may be some flexibility on salary depending on experience, skills and overall fit for the role.
  • 10% company bonus to celebrate your hard work
  • Hybrid working arrangement – ideally 2 office‑based days per week in Poole, Dorset
  • High levels of autonomy and ownership
  • Development opportunities to help you grow
  • Private medical insurance
  • Subsidised gym membership to support your wellbeing
  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus 3-4 extra days off at Xmas (discretionary), plus birthday off
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Smart‑casual dress code for a relaxed work environment
  • Supportive, team‑focused culture that values your ideas and achievements
What the Technical Team Lead / Development Manager Will Do:

As Technical Team Lead / Development Manager, you'll act as the link between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring projects are clearly defined, prioritised effectively and delivered successfully.

You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, managing delivery workflows and supporting the ongoing success of the development function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications and deliverable web application projects
  • Breaking projects into manageable development tasks and managing priorities across the team
  • Coordinating work through the full development lifecycle, from planning and sprint management through to testing and release
  • Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of developers and QA professionals through daily collaboration and regular one‑to‑ones
