HGV Class 1 Driver

Position: HGV Class 1 Driver (Contract)
Our client, a leader in the marine sector, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient transport of materials between different sites, including Portland, the tech site, and the pool site.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport materials safely and efficiently
Ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
Loading and unloading materials at designated locations
Conducting routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle
Communicating effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery schedules
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and materials transported
Adhering to ADR regulations for the transport of hazardous goods

Job Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 licence
ADR certification for the transport of hazardous goods
Experience in driving and operating HGV Class 1 vehicles
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety
