Resident Care Coordinator at Oaks Senior Living

we prefer candidates with experience but are willing to train the right person with a kind heart and a strong desire to work with older adults.
Assist the Wellness Director with maintaining resident medication and medical records in accordance with policy and state regulations, and assist the Executive Director with administrative duties.
Responsibilities Wellness- Assist the Wellness Director with checking in new medication cycles every 14 days
- Maintain Med Carts (PRNs, creams) every 2 weeks
- Daily check of medication reorder sheet
- Order oxygen and supply usage
- Conduct weekly MAR audits (missing initials, signatures) and communicate with the Wellness Director
- Execute medication changes for residents from doctors’ appointments
- Fax orders to pharmacy and provide copies to the Wellness Director
- Record new orders and update MAR upon delivery
- Send copies of MAR and medical appointment forms when residents go to the doctor
- Maintain good standing with the CNA/CMA registry
- Assist at the front desk greeting guests, residents, vendors, and deliveries
- Answer phone calls
- Conduct orientation for new hires
- Maintain Continuing Education Unit (CEU) records and schedule CEU classes month‑in‑month
- Track CPR/First Aid certification
- Assist the Executive Director with auditing employee files
- Staff scheduling and manage shift changes
- Replenish copies of forms (shower, laundry, pager logs)
- Serve as on‑call for one weekend per month
- Assist with tours when needed
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have received a high school diploma
- Must have a satisfactory criminal record check
- Must have a physical exam by a licensed physician
- Must have a negative drug screen
- Must have CPR and First Aid certification
- Must dress in professional attire
- Must communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, the Wellness Director, and the Executive Director
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks that involve walking, standing, reaching, pushing, and grasping
- Must understand the risks of exposure to infectious waste, disease, chemicals, solutions, and disinfectants
- Must be able to react appropriately in emergency situations
