Job Description
Purpose and Scope :- The Inventory Lead plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating all aspects of inventory control within the organization. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the inventory team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with inventory management policies and procedures. Inventory Lead is responsible for leading, by example, training team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in inventory management practices.
:
- Lead and supervise the inventory team in maintaining accurate inventory records and optimizing stock levels.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to inventory team members to ensure understanding of inventory processes and procedures.
- Assign tasks and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of inventory-related activities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the inventory team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management, warehouse layout, and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, stock turnover, and fulfillment rates, and develop action plans to address any issues.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and trends for management review.
- Analyze inventory data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making.
- Liaise with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and logistics, to coordinate inventory-related activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and inventory availability.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a focus on fostering a positive work culture and driving performance improvements.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or related roles, with demonstrated leadership experience.
