Operations Manager
Salary: $45,500.00 per year - $56,875.00 per year.

Job Summary: The Operations Manager (OM) is accountable for all operational aspects of the business at the store level. The OM leads the store operations team to maintain a neat, clean, and safe store environment, ensure customer satisfaction, and maximize sales. The OM achieves success by providing problem‑solving resources, managing staff, and working collaboratively with the Store Director.
Key Roles And Responsibilities:
- Build, coach, and maintain a store team to meet At Home’s Vision, Mission, Values, and business objectives while following all Company processes and policies.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and manage team members, ensuring a positive customer experience and comprehensive training and development.
- Coach, drive performance, set goals, and take follow‑up action with team members, including performance support plans, performance improvement, and corrective actions.
- Make employment decisions for Operations team members: hiring, compensation, promotions, transfers, releases, disciplinary actions, and addressing Team Member concerns.
- Coordinate directly with the Store Director to maximize staffing effectiveness that supports traffic, sales, and the customer experience, including compliance with time‑keeping policies, payroll processing, and labor model standards.
- Review, analyze, and communicate to Team Members the store financial and business data from the store scorecard; develop and execute budgets, financial plans, and strategies to maximize sales and profits.
- Oversee Task Management by planning, directing, and scheduling team members for their shifts and tasks on a daily and weekly basis, validating timely completion of all tasks and adjusting the schedule as needed.
- Manage all store opening, closing, and Front‑End processes, ensuring accuracy, operational readiness, and security of building, assets, and personnel.
- Oversee and lead the freight and stocking processes, ensuring safe and timely unloading, merchandising, and stockroom cleanliness, while maintaining safety and security for Team Members and Customers.
- Provide a positive customer shopping experience, minimize damages and shrinkage, and address customer concerns promptly.
- Lead the team in customer satisfaction, team development, inventory, cash control, HR, safety, loss prevention, and expense control, and conduct regular meetings/huddles on these subjects.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain open availability, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Qualifications And
Competencies:
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma/Equivalent;
College degree preferred. - Successful completion of a Background Check.
- At least 3 years of Management/Leadership experience or equivalent At Home experience.
- At least 3 years of direct responsibility for leading 10 or more people across multiple departments.
- At least 1 year of direct/indirect experience managing annual revenue, operating budget, or profit & loss of at least $5 million.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or team lift 100 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
