As a Safety Manager, you will have a critical impact in fostering a safety-focused culture, driving best practices, and ensuring the wellbeing of all team members within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs and policies for manufacturing operations.
- Lead safety training and education initiatives for all staff to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Investigate workplace accidents or incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure full compliance across the facility.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present safety reports and metrics to leadership as required.
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
- Exceptional communication and training skills, with the ability to engage staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in accident investigation and corrective action development.
- Ability to conduct and document risk assessments and safety audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification.
- Experience implementing safety programs in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
- Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools.
