Responsibilities- Set up and prepare welding equipment, tools, and materials.
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux‑Core welding (depending on project needs).
- Read, understand, and follow blueprints, work orders, and welding specifications.
- Inspect welds for quality and ensure parts meet blueprint tolerances.
- Make adjustments to weld settings to maintain strong, clean welds.
- Perform grinding, fitting, and basic fabrication as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop policies.
- Complete daily production logs, inspection forms, or other paperwork as required.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to troubleshoot issues or improve processes.
- High‑school diploma or GED required; welding certification or technical training preferred.
- Prior welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux‑Core) in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
- Skilled in using welding equipment, grinders, measuring tools, and hand/power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, stand, and move throughout the shift.
- Solid work ethic – dependable, safety‑minded, and able to work independently or with a team.
- Willingness to learn new techniques, improve processes, and pitch in where needed.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with leads, inspectors, and coworkers.
