Primary responsibility:
Provide an exceptional shopping experience to all customers using Kirkland’s customer service model while assisting with all aspects of operations and merchandising. Sales Associates support sales growth by fulfilling multiple roles including selling, cashiering, replenishing, setting floorsets, and cleaning. Customer service is always the top priority regardless of work area.

• Support and value Customer Service in both the in‑store and online (ship to store) shopping experience.
• Actively engage with all customers, modeling exceptional selling behaviors.
• Greet every customer with enthusiasm, maintaining a positive, can‑do attitude at all times.
• Proactively engage with customers, reading cues and responding appropriately.
• Educate each customer on loyalty programs, current promotions, and merchandise assortment to support basket building.
• Support the company’s branding at all times by treating all customers and co‑workers respectfully and professionally while supporting a common goal.
• Achieve or exceed goals associated with company initiatives and programs.
• Assist in the receipt of all merchandise in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Assist in maintaining an efficient and organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Assist in maintaining merchandise presentation, pricing, and inventory accuracy.

• Ability to read and interpret company directives, handbook, and manuals.
• Flexible schedule to meet store business needs.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to retrieve and stock products on the shelf or hang overhead banners/product.
• Must frequently position self to retrieve and stock products in stockroom and sales floor, placing merchandise in bags.
• Must be able to stand and move around the store for prolonged periods to greet and assist customers.
• Must be able to communicate frequently with customers in person, electronically, and telephonically.
• Must be able to move merchandise 50 pounds or more to and from the stockroom to sales floor.
• Must operate a Point of Sale system, registers, and handheld devices efficiently and accurately.
