Pooler, GA (Home Branch);
Townsend, GA;
Hardeeville, SC

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Position Overview

The PM Service Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PM), repairs, and light mechanical services on company vehicles, trailers, and small equipment. This position supports three branches and ensures all fleet and jobsite equipment are kept in optimal working condition to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
The ideal candidate will be a dependable, hands‑on technician with strong mechanical skills, the ability to travel between sites, and the discipline to manage multiple work locations independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM) & Repairs
  • Perform scheduled PM services on pickup trucks and light‑duty vehicles (oil changes, filters, fluids, etc.).
  • Inspect, rotate, and change tires as needed for fleet and trailer units.
  • Conduct lubrication, greasing, and hydraulic checks on equipment such as mini forklifts, excavators, and small engines.
  • Replace excavator tracks and perform basic track system maintenance.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain open utility trailers (lights, brakes, wiring, and couplers).
  • Identify potential mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions.
Fleet Coordination
  • Maintain accurate service records for each unit serviced
  • Communicate with the Fleet Department regarding upcoming PM schedules and repair needs.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and parts are organized and properly maintained.
  • Support on‑site repairs and emergency service needs when required.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety and environmental protocols.
  • Utilize PPE and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Complete all maintenance documentation and service logs accurately.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, hydraulic components, and small equipment repair.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in outdoor and shop environments.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to travel between Pooler, Townsend, and Hardeeville locations as needed (company vehicle provided).
  • Basic computer literacy for work order and fleet system updates.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade or technical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided if not held).

Pay Range starting at $23- commensurate with experience (Mid-level experience)
Overtime is paid after 40 hours/week
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Company Vehicle will be provided for inter‑branch travel
Technician tools required; specialty tools provided by company
