The Erosion Company (TEC) is currently hiring Construction Crew Leaders. TEC is the largest and most experienced contractor in providing comprehensive erosion control services, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean‑up services to clients throughout the Southeast. Responsibilities- Coordinate daily tasks according to scheduled routes.
- Monitor attendance and productivity of a 2‑3‑person crew.
- Provide supervision and training to all crew members.
- Review daily work orders and inspect materials loaded to the vehicle to ensure they are adequate to complete the assignment.
- Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote a safety culture among crew members, ensuring proper use of machinery and equipment and resolving problems when they arise.
- Monitor and report project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities, to Area Quality Managers promptly.
- Assist crew members with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Assist crew members in removing, filling, compacting, and preparing terrain.
- Install silt fencing and erosion control blankets using a variety of hand tools.
- Perform site clean‑up and reload leftover materials after the job assignment is complete.
- Valid driver’s license and a three‑year verifiable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
- Ability to understand and follow directions and take instructions in English.
- Physically able to walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Acceptable to work under inclement weather conditions such as rain, heat, and cold.
- Prior experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead.
- Prior experience operating small machinery such as a Bobcat and other excavating equipment.
- Experience driving a ½ or ¾ ton truck with a 20+‑foot trailer fully loaded.
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Work available immediately for qualified candidates.
