Regional Support Dietitian – Compass Group USA

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide clinical support to regional accounts across the Midwest. The role requires extensive overnight travel (up to 100% of the time) and will focus on delivering high‑quality nutrition care in senior living communities and other client sites.

Job Summary

The Registered Dietitian serves as the key contact with guests to assess nutritional and dietary needs, make recommendations, and collaborate with client staff and Dining Services to deliver high‑standard care. Responsibilities include communicating and implementing new clinical systems and programs, ensuring statutory actions and documentation are consistently delivered, and incorporating nutritional requirements into dining service operations.

Essential Functions & Key Tasks
  • Evaluate resident nutritional needs and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Monitor resident status and take appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate with dining services to ensure smooth seven‑day operations.
  • Create and maintain documentation.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Update and apply professional knowledge.
  • Communicate objectives, reinforce high standards, monitor performance, and address issues.
  • Complete departmental audits (clinical documentation, food safety, meal accuracy, test tray audits).
  • Respond to corrective action plans and directives from corporate support within designated time frames.
Education & Experience
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) and/or appropriate licensure/certification.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Bachelor’s in Nutrition/Dietetics and successful completion of Dietetic Internship or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years clinical experience in a senior living environment.
Work Environment
  • Scheduling may require 10 days on, 4 days off; determined by support needs.
  • Requires frequent overnight travel.
  • Must reside within commutable distance to a major airport.
  • Interacts with extreme temperatures/conditions and heated equipment, grease, refrigeration/freezer.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with multiple software programs required.
  • May involve repetitive motion, walking/staying for extended periods, lifting, pushing, carrying, and repetitive wrist motion.
