Primary Purpose Of Job

This position provides support and follow through for a busy Financial Advisor. The position entails providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks including but not limited to scheduling, organization of meetings, preparation and review of correspondence, and facilitation of various projects. A small portion of the week may be dedicated to training and development from a Sales Assistant with the potential to one day become a Financial Advisor and manage your own book of business.

  • Ensures the confidentiality of customer non-public personal information and secures information systems to comply with bank regulations.
Essential Functions And Performance Areas
  • Data entry and upkeep of company database of clientele and third party referral sources;
  • Open new customer accounts as needed using correct instructions, and communicating with customers as needed;
  • Place outbound calls to increase sales for assigned Financial Advisor;
  • Frequent and accurate communication with financial advisors, bank representatives and others via email and phone;
  • Provide friendly and inviting initial contact for all clients, customers and guests who arrive or call;
  • Manage multiple calendars, marketing materials, outbound mail, inbound mail distribution and update account information;
  • Track marketing materials to ensure they are in compliance; and,
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Sales oriented and ability to interact with customers, understand their goals and financial needs and recommend solutions;
  • Assertive, competitive, self-starter, goal-oriented and results-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit;
  • Highly self‑motivated, creative, decisive. Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients’ needs and issues. Excellent customer service skills;
  • Proficient with the complete Microsoft Office 2010 suite including:
    Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.;
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Professional demeanor;
  • Ability and experience articulating complex and in‑depth concepts.
Education, Training And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in securities sales;
  • Experience problem solving and resolving escalated issues; and,
  • Experience in high‑stress, deadline‑driven environment preferred.
