Part Time Hemodialysis Nurse

Be a vital part of patient care at Port Alberni Community Dialysis Facility as a part time Hemodialysis Nurse. Support patients with renal failure through compassionate care and teamwork.

The part time Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis while establishing therapeutic relationships. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will assess patients' bio-psycho-social needs and foster informed choices for improved self-care. Your contributions will ensure ongoing quality and safety in renal services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver hemodialysis nursing care to patients

• Establish and maintain patient and family relationships

• Assess and plan nursing interventions effectively

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care improvements

• Educate patients/families on renal health and self-management

Requirements:

• Valid BC RN registration necessary

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Experience in nephrology or hemodialysis is essential

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Physical ability to perform nursing responsibilities
