Special Education Teacher at PORT ANGELES SCHOOL DISTRICT
This position is for a Special Education teacher who will be assigned to teach learning strategies, behavior skills, math, and ELA. The teacher will also work with and supervise multiple para educators, collaborate with counselors to provide SEL and behavior support lessons, and may have the opportunity to co‑teach math and/or ELA with other Special Education and General Education teachers. This is a full‑time teaching load with a planning period.
The teacher will be responsible for case‑management of IEPs on top of their regular teaching duties.
- Teach learning strategies, behavior skills, math, and ELA to students with special needs.
- Supervise and collaborate with multiple para educators.
- Work with counselors to provide SEL and behavior support lessons.
- Collaborate with Special Education and General Education teachers to co‑teach math and/or ELA.
- Manage case‑planning and implementation of IEPs.
