Pharmacy Assistant

Jim's Pharmacy is hiring a part‑time Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy retail pharmacy in Port Ala‑Ngan, WA. The role requires a detail‑oriented, team‑playing, multitasking individual with customer service and POS system experience, strong computer skills, and a Pharmacy Assistant License in good standing with the Washington State Department of Health (the license may be obtained prior to employment).

All applicants must pass drug screening and a criminal background check.

Position type:
Part‑time, on‑site. Weekly hours: 24–31 hours, including Sunday 11:30 am–4 pm, rotating hours on other days, and every 3rd Saturday.

• Detail oriented, team player, and multitasker

• Experience in customer service, POS systems, and computers

• Pharmacy Assistant License in good standing with WA State Dept of Health (obtainable before employment)

• Must pass drug screening and criminal background check

• Assist customers at pharmacy registers and drive‑thru windows
• Help customers locate over‑the‑counter items on the sales floor
• Process sales on the point‑of‑sale system
• Input and navigate pharmacy system computer data
• Answer phones and make outgoing calls to customers
• Manage inventory and pricing
• Pull expired medications for returns
• Prepare mail‑outs and deliveries of prescriptions
