Paramedic (Port Arthur, TX)

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation across Texas. We are looking to expand our team of Paramedics here in Port Arthur, Texas, and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking experienced, dedicated, and motivated Paramedics to join our team. You will provide advanced level patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect.

Pay & Schedule

Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $29.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Schedule:

48 ON / 96 OFF rotation. No cap on overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
  • Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
  • Provide first‑aid treatment and/or advanced life support to patients.
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
  • Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
  • Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
  • Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff.
  • Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively.
  • Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
  • Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily.
Qualifications
  • Paramedic license issued by the state of Texas or another compact state (required).
  • Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
  • Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations or job duties.
  • Experience with MICU level transports including IV pump, ventilator, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Emergency Medical Services.
