Industrial Operations Manager – Sunbelt Rentals, Inc.

Industrial Operations Manager, a key leadership role within the Industrial Services Division, responsible for ensuring the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency through process improvement, quality enhancement, inventory management and on‑site operations support. This position requires up to 80% travel.

• Support and improve each of the Industrial Services Tool Locations within Sunbelt.
• Develop a training program to improve employee knowledge within Industrial Tool Profit Centers.
• Improve quality of product delivered by Industrial Tool Centers.
• Organize and develop efficiencies in Tool Centers.
• Manage inventory across all Industrial Tool Centers to ensure high quality, utilization and ROI.
• Negotiate with vendors for highest quality, lowest cost products.
• Manage and support the On‑Site Tool Trailer business; develop and improve overall quality and process with managing outage/turnaround.
• Develop, manage and train Industrial Project Managers to improve performance.
• Take a leadership role in outage/turnaround managed opportunities.
• Support all safety initiatives and create a strong safety culture at the Industrial Profit Centers.
• Support the Key and National Accounts.
• Work with Industrial Services Regional Manager to develop, grow, train and improve each Industrial Tool Profit Center within assigned regions.
• Help develop revenue growth through on‑site projects.
• Communicate any issues or concerns at the Industrial Tool Centers to the Regional Manager.
• Train and develop Tool Centers on equipment testing processes; audit records to ensure testing has been completed.

• Develop and coach direct reports and all employees at an Industrial Tool Center for outstanding customer service.
• Work with key management to execute programs and provide direction of changes.
• Lead Industrial Tool Managers in maximizing profits with fleet mix, pricing strategies, service/preventive maintenance, utilization, delivery, and fleet sharing.
• Support Ind Tool Manager to achieve PC and company budgets and goals.
• Ensure coordinated leadership and consistency between Industrial Tool Centers nationally.
• Recommend new processes to improve quality and cost.
• Awareness of safety and environmental requirements; key technical skills: MS Office, Outlook, Internet/Intranet, Wynne system.
• Travel required, including overnight 1–3 nights per week.
• Time and schedule management, and ability to work in industrial settings, extreme environments; lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Extensive night/weekend work due to emergency response nature.
