Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit and orient volunteers through phone calls, events, and data platforms
- Conduct job training and annual appreciation activities
- Schedule and manage volunteer workers and community service workers
- Create and maintain job descriptions for lead positions
- Learn and manage volunteer software provided through United Way
- Maintain yearly events calendar for volunteers
Food Pantry Management
- Schedule volunteers for regular and special tasks
- Place SETX Food Bank order, date all inventory ordered
- Monitor food inventory; place supplemental food order as needed
- Weigh food donations
- Clean and organize pantry storage
- Maintain records using Food Bank and intake platforms
- Comply with Food Bank regulations
- Prepare for monthly Food Bank pickup and delivery
- Collaborate with pantry committee
Special Events
- Attend events to promote UBM and provide assistance
- Assist with coordination, setup, and scheduling volunteers
You will play a crucial role in the daily operations to serve clients and the community in Mid-south Jefferson County. Lifting lives locally to contribute to a sustainable community.
Work ScheduleMonday - Thursday 8:30 - 1:30. As needed - 5 flexible hours a week to complete responsibilities and attend special events.
