Security Officer Full Time Credential Validation Driver in Port Arthur, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate access records. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service.

Pay Rate: $17.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, credentials, and authorization; issue visitor badges and maintain accurate visitor and contractor access records.
• Control access to restricted operational, laboratory, warehouse, and administrative areas in accordance with site requirements and hazardous-material protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and document events according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
