Level II RT Technician

Level II RT Technician (Nested)

Valero Refinery at Port Arthur,TX.

Pay rate is $39/hr

Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, possible OT during emergencies or turnarounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • BASIC, Valero Site, Confined space will be required
  • NOMEX or FR clothing required
  • Must be clean shaven
  • Will be required to pass a DISA background check
  • Site requires a clear DISA hair follicle and U/A
  • Must provide previous certs or OJT for each method
  • Must be able to pass a FIT test and perform job tasks under supplied air
  • Will be required to perform job duties from elevated levels and inside confined spaces
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to perform each method per code and procedure requirements
  • Must be able to read and understand the job scope and specifications for each task
  • Must be able to provide clear, detailed reports in a timely manner once a task is completed

Required Qualifications & Education

  • Must have NDE Level II Certifications in UTT / MT / PT
  • Minimum 1 year work experience as a Level 2 NDT Technician
  • Must be able to pass HMT certification standards.
  • Must have current TWIC Card

Additional certifications desired, but not required are:

  • CRDR experience is preferred or must be willing to be trained in CRDR
  • NDE Level II Certifications in PMI
  • NDE certification in ISQ
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Self‐motivated with good written and verbal communication skills with a positive team‐oriented attitude is required.
  • Trained in OSHA 10 and or OSHA 30
  • Respirator fit tested (current)
  • Current CPR & First Aid
  • Current safety training (within the last 12 months) to include but not limited to confined space, fall protection, LOTO, Haz Com, etc.
