Position: Health Center Manager-Charlotte County

Health Center Manager – Charlotte County (Punta Gorda & Port Charlotte Health Centers)

The Health Center Manager plays a key role in creating a positive, patient-centered experience by coordinating staff, resources, and daily operations of the health centers. This role helps foster a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement while promoting healthy living, disease prevention, and patient engagement. The Health Center Manager serves as the on-site leader, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and partnering with the Clinical Operations Director to support both strategic and day-to-day goals.

This position is ideal for a motivated, servant leader who enjoys being visible and involved with their team, thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong relationships, is passionate about patient care and regulatory compliance, manages time well, consistently follows up and follows through, and takes pride in supporting and developing a high-performing, engaged team.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with Saturdays as needed for operational support.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Certification: BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role in a healthcare setting, preferably primary care, urgent care, or occupational health.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Proven ability to lead by example and engage teams in a collaborative, supportive environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with staff, patients, and leadership.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to policy‑driven standards of care.
  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to build strong relationships and foster trust.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with eClinical

    Works (eCW) is a plus.
Operational Leadership
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Communicate regularly with the Clinical Operations Director, including submission of weekly and monthly updates.
  • Ensure the health centers are properly stocked with medications, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform quarterly safety audits and other assigned audits to support a safe, compliant environment.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and safeguard sensitive staff information.
  • Provide direct leadership and guidance to ancillary staff under the direction of the Clinical Operations Director.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Develop orientation and training plans for new clinic staff and ensure completion of new hire checklists and skills competencies within established time frames.
  • Collaborate on staff meeting agendas and provide clear operational updates.
  • Promote engagement, accountability, and teamwork through coaching, mentoring, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Partner with the Clinical Operations Director on ongoing staff development and succession planning.
  • Help ensure patients receive exceptional customer service and high-quality care.
  • Foster a welcoming, patient‑centered environment that supports health promotion, disease management, and prevention initiatives.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to patient concerns or service issues.
  • Coordinate staff work schedules, review and approve time‑off requests, and ensure adequate coverage for clinic operations.
  • Assist with budget and resource management to support cost‑effective operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to optimize efficiency and patient outcomes in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Clinical Operations Director to support organizational initiatives, wellness events, flu clinics, annual screenings, and client deliverables.
