Nurse Manager Fort Myers Free Standing ED

HCA Healthcare is seeking a qualified Nurse Manager for our Free Standing ED at Fort Myers. The role requires leadership and expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care for all patients. This position is part of HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, a 237‑bed acute care facility serving Charlotte County.

As an Emergency Nurse Manager, you will provide 24‑hour leadership and responsibility for safe, quality patient care in the assigned department. You will develop and implement quality‑improvement programs, coordinate care across departments, and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.

• Provide leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of safe, quality patient care for assigned departments on a 24‑hour basis.
• Ensure department’s standards of nursing practice, policies, and procedures meet legal, accrediting, and regulatory agency requirements.
• Maintain continuity of care through interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Collaborate and share pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment.
• Develop and implement ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess, and improve quality of nursing care, working toward hospital-wide improvement in core measures, patient safety, and service excellence.
• Ensure effective coordination of patient care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in accordance with state regulations.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic PC skills.
