Apply expert Excel and financial analysis skills as Controller II supporting Sofina’s Chicken and Turkey division across two British Columbia plants.
Reporting to the Director, Finance, this Controller II analyzes financial and costing data for Port Coquitlam and Abbotsford operations. The role supports Controller III, plant leadership, and operational reporting through accurate processing, variance analysis, and continuous improvement. CPA designation and manufacturing experience are required.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze financial results and provide insightful commentary
- Support month-end financial statement close activities
- Participate in continuous improvement meetings with plant leadership
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through shop floor presence
- Develop reports supporting plant business decisions
- Professional Accounting Designation CPA
- Five or more years in a related manufacturing role
- Food industry experience considered an asset
- Expert Excel and Microsoft Office application skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Support Sofina’s plant operations with financial reporting, costing analysis, expert Excel, and continuous improvement expertise across both locations.
