The RoleWe are seeking an Intermediate Piping Estimator who is detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to high‑impact industrial projects across BC. This role is ideal for someone with solid technical experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility within a supportive and established estimating team.
What You’ll Be Doing- Review specifications and drawings for hard‑bid/lump‑sum and construction management projects.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, pricing summaries, and tender submissions.
- Support the development of strategies and execution plans for competitive bids.
- Analyze trade contractor and supplier pricing to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings to gather project insights and clarify scope.
- Assist in developing project schedules, planning assumptions, and milestone timelines.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and key project considerations based on documentation and site conditions.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders to support accurate pricing and smooth project execution.
- Help maintain the trade contractor database and historical cost information.
- 3–7 years of estimating experience
, preferably in industrial construction settings. - Hands‑on or field‑based experience in piping, mechanical, or pipefitter‑related environments.
- A diploma/degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or a relevant trade background (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Familiarity with Union Agreements across multiple trades (an asset).
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Keen attention to detail with strong organizational habits.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
- You’ll contribute to major industrial and infrastructure projects across BC.

- Competitive base salary – $120 – $150 K
