This is a new role supporting our growing electrical team.
If you’re an experienced
Electrical Quotation & Design Professional
with a can-do attitude who posses an electrical design mindset, has a strong technical background and who excels at finding solutions, we want to hear from you. This role focuses on electrical distribution kiosk projects and is not controlled focused.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum5 years’ experience
in the electrical or related industry - Minimum3 years’ experience
with electrical distribution systems (up to 600V) - Minimum2 years’ experience
in a quotations, applications, and/or customer-facing technical role - Current
Canadian Electrical Code (22.1:24)Experience and Training - Legally eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
- Prepare quotation packages based on engineering specifications and project documentation
- Develop detailed technical and commercial proposals with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and value
- Review electrical drawings and specifications to select appropriate components and solutions
- Generate bills of material using internal systems and supplier resources
- Create datasheets, drawing packages, and supporting technical documentation
- Define product specifications to guide internal design and production teams
- Work closely with sales, design, purchasing, production, and R&D teams to ensure customer and project requirements are met
- Participate in customer-facing engagements, including joint sales calls and technical presentations
- Engage with engineering firms to support product pre-qualification for tender opportunities
- Support R&D initiatives related to new product development and launch
- Ensure completed products comply with required specifications, standards, and approvals
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution equipment and components from major manufacturers (e.g., Schneider, Siemens, Eaton, ABB)
- Ability to assist with electrical component selection during the quotation phase
- Proficient in reading single-line diagrams and performing electrical take-offs
- Solid working knowledge of the
Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22.1); familiarity with
CSA C22.2considered an asset - Familiarity with
BC Hydro secondary service standards (ES54)is considered an asset - Ability to provide technical support to sales teams, design teams, and customers
- Comfortable discussing technical project details with electrical engineers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP systems, AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar tools considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to translate challenges into value-added solutions
